There are six large TV news productions in Sapporo, Japan, STV, HBC, UHB, HTB, TVh, and NHK Sapporo. I chose one of them, HBC. HBC is affiliated with Japan News Network. HBC cover whole Hokkaido prefecture.
In Japan, any kinds of companies usually employ new graduates all at once in April. HBC is the one of them to do that. All the senior students are start applying in March to May, companies hold information session in March to May also, and companies do exam and interview for jobs in May through September. And all new graduates are start working in April next year.
When companies hire students, each of their personality is the most important standard of hiring. What the students have studied, what they have done is not as important as the US, because working for only one company for their whole life is common in Japan, so companies think people who has good personality can have successful career at the company.
Connection for get employed from HBC is exist, but the door is open for everyone.
